Workers' concerns

To understand where the usage of emotion AI within the workplace is leading, my colleague Karen Boyd and I set about investigating Ideas of the inventors emotion AI within the workplace. One participant said, “Even if I were alone in my office, I’d expend an amazing amount of energy masking, which might make me very distracted and unproductive,” declaring that using emotion AI creates additional emotional labor for workers would impose.

Worth the damage?

These results suggest that emotion AI exacerbates existing challenges for staff within the workplace, although advocates claim emotion AI helps solve these problems.
