In the 12 months since we introduced IBM's Enterprise Generative AI (Gen AI) and data platform, we’ve worked with quite a few software corporations to embed IBM watsonx™ into their apps, offerings and solutions. By equipping our partners with the newest Gen AI technologies, expertise and support, we help them make an impact across industries, including Financial servicesIT, Sales, Business Intelligence And Sports.
To construct on this momentum, we proceed to introduce latest features around Watsonx, similar to our open source IBM® Granite™ code models to simplify coding, IBM Concert® to deliver AI-powered insights to all customer applications, watsonx.ai Lightweight Engine Enabling ISVs and developers to scale AI across clouds while optimizing costs, and Updates for our Watsonx assistants.
Over the past 12 months, I actually have spoken to a whole bunch of partners about their success using Watsonx in enterprise and consumer-facing offerings. The growing support, collaboration and innovation I actually have seen from partners over the past twelve months confirms that we’re on the appropriate path.
Two compelling examples of our partnerships in motion are TruGolf's use of Watsonx to reinforce its golf simulators and Salesloft's integration of Watsonx into its sales platform to support its sales teams.
Personalize golf with TruGolf and watsonx.ai
We recently Collaboration with TruGolfa number one seller and distributor of golf simulator software and hardware, has integrated IBM® watsonx.ai™ into its E6 APEX Golf Simulator software. TruGolf's mission is to make golf more accessible and fun for everybody, something I (and my swing) appreciate.
This partnership was unveiled at Think 2024, where attendees were capable of take a simulated shot on Pebble Beach's iconic seventh hole and receive highly personalized, AI-generated insights that demonstrated how AI can impact their golf game.
Like lots of our partners, TruGolf processes a wealth of knowledge. “When we began working with the IBM team, we had tons of knowledge we desired to leverage, but we didn't have access to the appropriate tools,” TruGolf's Chief Experience Officer Nate Larsen told me recently. “Watsonx has given us lots more capabilities.” With watsonx, TruGolf can customize its instruction to every player's individual playing style to assist them improve future shots and find the perfect approach for every hole.
Looking to the long run, TruGolf desires to explore how Watson-generation AI capabilities can improve simulations through club recognition, measuring clubhead speed, and providing more detailed evaluation of each shot on every golf course.
With Watsonx as a club holder, TruGolf goals to create a “smart caddy” experience that improves players' game. “That's what it's all about: an intelligent caddy that knows the way you play,” Larsen said. “Intelligent evaluation of the way you play is the long run of golf.”
Salesloft uses next-generation AI for fast-moving sales teams
In early 2024, Salesloft began working at IBM to assist sales teams quickly process and understand key elements of their conversations to shut more deals. Salesloft has integrated Watsonx into its platform to reinforce the summary capabilities and motion item components of its Conversations offering, which is now generally available.
“In our evaluation of latest generation AI versus traditional AI, we focused on AI that leverages LLMs and transcript evaluation,” Stephen Sper, Salesloft's chief technology officer, told me. “These technologies offer significant potential to streamline and automate each day sales activities at scale. Partnering with IBM was a strategic decision, as constructing an LLM in-house wouldn’t be an efficient use of our resources. IBM's deep domain expertise and industry trust make them a really perfect integration partner.”
IBM designed watsonx as a brand new generation of enterprise AI offering, differentiating it from the growing number of enormous language modeling (LLM) offerings that use public data to construct their models. “Many of our customers are global enterprises, and constructing trust with these organizations is paramount,” said Sper. “IBM inherently understands the complexities that include large enterprises, and their expertise is reflected in watsonx.”
In the long run, Salesloft plans to integrate Watsonx into more of its offerings in order that clients can leverage the facility of IBM Enterprise Gen AI to extend seller productivity, discover pipeline risks, and validate sales forecasts. This work is supported by IBM's decades-long effort to advance powerful latest generative AI technologies for the enterprise, with a give attention to governance, explainability, compensation, and trust.
Investing in trusted next-generation AI to drive innovation for purchasers
My conversations with Stephen and Nate, and plenty of similar discussions over the past 12 months, show how corporations of all sizes and industries are working with IBM to integrate Watsonx. This collaboration helps solve the fee, skills and governance issues traditionally related to the technology.
