Lightspeed LA reaches agreement with SAG-AFTRA on AI protection

Lightspeed LA, a brand new game development studio under Tencent’s Lightspeed & Quantum Studio group, has signed an agreement with the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) to implement AI protection mechanisms for his or her upcoming games.

The agreement reached today following negotiations between representatives of Lightspeed LA and SAG-AFTRA allows Lightspeed to make use of and hire union actors for performances in Lightspeed's games in development and future games. This allows Lightspeed LA to proceed to make use of union members even when SAG-AFTRA itself goes on strike. what the guild voted for just over a month ago.
