“We can have surveillance,” he said. “Every police officer will probably be monitored 24/7, and if there’s an issue, the AI will flag that problem and report it to the suitable person. Citizens will probably be on their best behavior because we’re continuously recording and reporting all the pieces that happens.”
Ellison believes that continuous surveillance using artificial intelligence could significantly reduce crime. But the facts don’t necessarily support his claim.
