As a student in Serbia with a passion for mathematics and physics, Ana Trišović was interested in computer science and her practical, problem -solving approaches. Then she discovered with OpenCourseware, a part of the with open learning, and decided to check a course on data analyzes with python in 2012 – something that didn’t offer her school.
This experience was transformative, says Trišović, who’s now a research scientist on the Futuretech Lab within the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.

“My work focuses on social scientific computers. “Now that the AI is becoming increasingly common and presents latest challenges, I’m occupied with examining numerous topics – from AI democratization to its effects on the scientific method and the broader landscape of science.”
Trišović is grateful that she made the choice in 2012 to try something latest and to learn with an OpenCourseware course.
“I immediately fell in love with Python as soon as I attended this course. I actually have such a weak place for OpenCourseware – it shaped my profession,” she says. “Every day on is inspiring. I work with people who find themselves excited to discuss AI and other fascinating topics.”
