Dubai puts artificial intelligence in the driving force's seat … literally.
The city and transport authority of the town (RTA) has launched an ambitious strategy for artificial intelligence in 2030, which guarantees to shorten the travel time across the town's streets by as much as 30%. The announcement was made in the course of the first Evers Dubai Ai week 2025.
The plan
RTA strategy outlined 81 projects and initiatives with AI-operated people I’ll roll out in the subsequent five years. This span of traffic signal optimization, intelligent pedestrian systems, the forecast expectation and even the evaluation of AI supported drivers.

The goals
- 20–30% shortened travel time
- 25–40% increase worker productivity
- 10–20% reduce operating costs
- 35% increase in the client happiness
- 30–50% improvement in compliance with the partners
Dubai turns AI right into a backbone of his transport infrastructure. By big data analytics to generative AI in its virtual assistant “Mahboub”, the town builds up a future through which the traffic punishment is more intelligent, faster and more sustainable.
The strategy connects the broader KI 2031 vision of the VAE and builds on the prevailing data platforms of the RTA, which already process 670 terabytes of transport data and support 280 data points in 49 systems.
Real AI in motion
RTA has already used KI in over 40 applications, including:
- Predictive bus maintenance
- Mood evaluation of the passenger feedback
- Prediction of the Parkknach query
- Smart water and energy consumption within the U -Bahn
Another 45 AI application cases are examined, including upgrades in the general public bus network of Dubai and the energy efficiency systems.
Dubai's AI-controlled transport future isn’t any longer futuristic and now unfolds. If you might be successful, your commuting in the town could soon be shorter, smoother and smarter.
