The Micro Center had an earlier shop in Silicon Valley near Intel's headquarters in Santa Clara. But this business closes in 2012 because the corporate couldn’t negotiate higher terms with the owner. The Micro Center distributed its time to return to the Bay Area and returned at a time when many other retail chains failed. It proves that the once proud region – the birthplace of the electronics – still deserves its own electronics store.
