What if AI couldn’t only grow to be a tool, but in addition a scientific partner who’s in a position to tackle human crises faster than ever? Before the World Summit Ai 2025 (October eighth to October ninth, Amsterdam), Frank Herrman, investment manager at RVO, dares to assume this future whilst you keep watch over the risks that might undo all the things.
What is your convincing dream scenario for AI – a breakthrough that may fundamentally improve life at a worldwide level?
The world faces enormous challenges: climate change, energy access, healthcare and prevention in addition to geopolitical instability. At the moment, AI often worsens these problems. Social -Media -Algorithms burning distance and hatred, while generative AI consumes an unlimited amount of energy without helping the climate crisis. But there may be one other side. AI already proves to be invaluable in areas comparable to drug development and medical diagnostics. If we will develop AI that not only analyzes data, but can also be in a position to perform its own scientific research by creating hypotheses, performing simulations, validating results and improving their models, this could speed up the hardest problems of mankind. My dream scenario is that such a AI could help to resolve climate change, healthcare, energy and other challenges within the record time and to supply us tools for a more sustainable and stable future.
