Google notes that Gemini 2.0 per experimental is in “early preview” and may have “unexpected behaviors” – and may make mistakes. In contrast to other Gemini models which can be available within the Gemini app, Gemini 2.0 per experimental has no access to real-time information and just isn’t compatible with some functions of the app.

“We imagine in a fast iteration and the perfect of Gemini on the earth, and we would really like to enable Gemini Advanced subscribers to priority access to our latest AI innovations,” continued Google within the changelog. “Your feedback helps us to enhance these models over time and learn from experimental starts on how we proceed to make use of models.”

Together with the Gemini 2.0 Pro experimental release, Google brought the Gemini 2.0 flash model announced in December for all users to the Gemini app. The standard model for Gemini app stays for the foreseeable future.
