Deepseek contained internal database with chat history and sensitive data

The Chinese AI company Deepseek has remedied an exposed back end database that spilled sensitive information, including user chat historia and API key, into the open web. The Deepseek database was not protected with a password, so that somebody on the Internet could access greater than one million unencrypted protocols.

Security researcher from Cloud Giant Wiz said they found the exposed database and alarmed deepseekWhich soon the database made offline. Accordingly WiredThe WIZ researchers said that the exposed chat protocols were in Chinese but were easily translated. It will not be yet known whether someone apart from Wiz found the database before it has been secured, and it is usually not known how long the database has been exposed. Deepseek didn’t reply to a request for comments.

False -configured databases are sometimes attributable to human failure and never because of malicious intentions. Deepseek has experienced viral popularity since its public introduction in December.
