Apple announced at its WWDC 2024 developer conference that its devices will feature a big selection of AI-powered features later this 12 months.

Many of those Apple Intelligence features run on-device to guard privacy, while more intensive AI processing takes place on Apple's Private Cloud Compute servers.
Siri upgrade
Siri can also be getting an AI-powered update that may enable the voice assistant to grasp and reply to more natural voice requests while maintaining context.

OpenAI Partnership
The ChatGPT iOS app has been available for a while, but with Apple's recent partnership with OpenAI, ChatGPT is integrated into the iOS functionality and is not any longer available as a standalone app.
Through integration, GPT-4o enables understanding of images and documents on iOS devices without having to modify between tools.

In a series of tweets, Musk said, “Apple has no idea what is definitely happening once they hand over your data to OpenAI.” He also said, “If Apple integrates OpenAI on the OS level, Apple devices can be banned from my firms… And visitors may have to depart their Apple devices on the door, where they can be kept in a Faraday cage.”
OpenAI's careless handling of information might cause some to adopt Musk's skepticism, but iOS18's AI features are too good to withstand.
