Shouldn't we do something with AI?

WhatsApp to Stephen: Do we’d like an AI product? I've been considering for some time that we should always offer something AI-like to our customers. Everyone appears to be doing it and touting their AI offering. Is there something we could do externally with AI? Should we hire someone to guide our AI team?

WhatsApp to Stephen: Yes, anyone who is admittedly good on this field goes to be terribly expensive, but there need to be people on the market who’re focused on constructing each their skills and ours.

WhatsApp to Stephen: No, I don't know exactly what product we're going to supply either, but it surely doesn't matter. We'll just hire one or two people and allow them to do some AI. Set up a skunkworks, test some ideas. Get some machine learning. Or just ask GPT-4 for suggestions.

WhatsApp to Stephen: How good does it really need to be? Check out McKinsey's website. Loads of it reads like AI-babble: “Balancing people and artificial intelligence: We harness the facility of technology and other people to create growth that advantages organizations while supporting a thriving, sustainable, and inclusive society.” Have you gotten any wiser? They also offer “hybrid intelligence.” I don't know what that’s, but my wife drives a hybrid automotive and says it's great.

WhatsApp to Stephen: Yes, in fact McKinsey can use its size to supply what look like industry-specific AI tools, but there needs to be something that clients think adds value. Something generative with large language models and Bayesian probability.

WhatsApp to Stephen: I don't know, but all the nice AI stuff seems to have Bayesian models, so we should always have them too. I'll confer with some recruiters.

Richard, it was great meeting you yesterday. I’m delighted to give you the role of Lead Developer for Monkwell AI Solutions on the terms and salary discussed. Your role might be to construct our capabilities from the bottom up and develop AI solutions that serve our customers and enrich our critical communications service. Our goal is to align technology and other people to learn organizations, society and the planet.

I’m comfortable to have you ever on the team.

Best Rutherford.

WhatsApp to Stephen: Yes, we selected Richard Winters. I wasn't blown away. Sometimes I could barely understand him – but that's probably a very good thing, right? And he was the most effective in our price range.

WhatsApp to RichardWinters: Hi Richard, great to have you ever here. Now that you simply're acquainted with our work, what's your first project?

WhatsApp to Richard Winters: Streamlining purchasing orders is great, but I'm really in search of something that deals directly with the shopper.

WhatsApp to RichardWinters: Honestly, I used to be hoping you possibly can tell me. We want something that optimizes efficiency, looks at processes holistically and accelerates sustainable growth.

WhatsApp to RichardWinters: Oh, I believed you knew what that meant.

WhatsApp to RichardWinters: A chatbot? That doesn't sound very like AI.

WhatsApp to RichardWinters: Oh, I see. A generative AI chatbot. Sounds implausible.

WhatsApp to Stephen: I feel Richard might be high quality, although he just asked me what we're doing here.

WhatsApp to Richard: OK, it provided some beneficial insights, but let's leave the chatbot aside. How about something that searches (or crawls) all of an organization's internal announcements and uses some form of AI learning to spotlight potential risks?

WhatsApp to Richard: Yes, let's definitely test it ourselves first, even when we don't have many announcements. And no, I don't mind if we call it Winterfell. But can we bring something Bayesian to it? Once we've done that, possibly we are able to offer a proof-of-concept partnership with a preferred customer.

Susan, I hope you're OK. Just a fast note to make you aware of something. We've just launched a brand new division – Monkwell AI Solutions – led by an excellent young man, Richard Winters. He's developing a brand new tool that uses 360-degree generative machine learning and Bayesian AI to detect future communications crises before they occur. As a very valued customer, we wondered if Volpone could be focused on being the primary to check this tool when it's ready.

WhatsApp to Stephen: We tested Winterfell using Monkwell's internal announcements and WhatsApp messages and it got here back with a variety of problems: hopelessness in adopting latest technology, understaffing in several sectors, not enough contacts with the Labour Party and slow cycle times. It's clearly nowhere near ready for a wider release.

WhatsApp to SusanCB: Keep that thought, Susan. We're undecided how accurate it’s yet. That's all the time the way in which it’s with cutting-edge technology!
