We sat down with Sako Arts, CTO and co-founder of Fruitpunch AI, to speak about how he sees AI as a tool for climate protection.
What does the long run of AI appear like?
While I'm probably not convinced that full-blown artificial intelligence is on the horizon, we are going to proceed to see AI take over many office jobs. Many jobs, especially content-heavy ones, will change significantly as they’ll focus totally on leveraging AI quite than manually creating the content. This will result in an overall reduction within the human capital required. However, I expect other recent jobs to emerge, as we’re already seeing with prompt engineers and data labelers.
What is the best AI application you could have seen up to now?
Bear identification is after all done via edge hardware!
Introducing AI in corporations: Name three advantages and three potential risks
Advantages:
* Less need for specialists outside the corporate core (content authors, legal, sales)
* AI assistants that may control human employees, leading to higher quality work and fewer errors
* New advanced AI features that enable automation of tasks that were impossible before
Risks
* Much more content to read, as creating content becomes easier, more shall be created and due to this fact more reviewed
* AIs communicate effectively with AIs that produce inefficient baggage around their work. Think of emails written by one AI after which summarized by an AI at the opposite end.
* The additional power consumption as a result of the increased use of those computationally intensive models
What excites you most a few world shaped by AI?
More efficient workforce and fewer boring, labor-intensive work.
How do you imagine the long run of human-machine collaboration?
In the foreseeable future, AI will control humans typically or vice versa. Full AI automation will take slightly longer for many applications resembling software development, medicine and law.
Whose work do you admire most on the planet of AI?
I believe Hugging Face is doing a terrific job of constructing AI more accessible, usable and open source. Thomas Wolf particularly is doing a terrific job on their side.
If you would use AI to resolve any global problem on the planet, what wouldn’t it be and why?
Since these models require more power, I believe probably the most pressing issue is the energy transition. While AI could help with this transition, it mainly is determined by the physical infrastructure, and AI robotics will not be yet on the stage where it could make a major contribution to this.
What inspired you to participate as a speaker at this AI Summit and what message would you wish to convey to the audience?
The only efficient method to learn is by doing, so switch off and apply the talents until you master them. For example, in certainly one of FruitPunch's AI for Good challenges 😉
